We build in our own factory in Salinas and have been putting up quality homes and ADUs for years. A real operation with a full factory floor and office, room to grow, and a craftsman trainer with 40+ years in the trade. The people who work hard here move up to Lead Craftsman.

Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Rough framing to spec, weatherproofing, and structural work.
  • Window, door, and siding installation.
  • Roofing, interior finishing, flooring, and final detail work.
  • Clean, accurate work that holds to our build standards.
  • Show up on time (or early), work safe, and take pride in the finished product.
  • Memorize and live the Framework First Core Values.

Requirements

  • Genuinely high-skilled. We’re not hiring warm bodies; if you’re one of the best carpenters in the county, this job was built for you.
  • 3+ years of framing or residential carpentry (this is not an entry-level role).
  • Confident with the tools of the trade and able to read and build to plans.
  • Punctual, safety-minded, reliable, and coachable.
  • Ready to move fast in a busy shop.
  • Trade school training is a plus, not a requirement.
Job Specifics
  • Location: 1610 Moffett Street, Salinas, CA, on-site at our indoor factory.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with overtime when we’re finishing builds.
  • Pay: $30/hour to start ($62,400/year at a guaranteed 40 hours, before overtime). Truly exceptional craftsmen earn their way up to $40/hour: start at $30, prove your skill on the floor, and your work sets your rate.
  • Overtime: Time-and-a-half when we ask you to stay late. Our hardest workers take home a lot more than base.
  • Status: Looking for someone to start immediately.
